PROJECT 03: A study on the Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) in Segaliud Lokan Forest Reserve

The Clouded Leopard that is also scientifically known as (Neofelis nebulosa) is one of the fully protected species under the Wildlife Conservation Enactment 1997 in Sabah as the number of individual of this species has decreased over the last few years. This species is also listed as Vulnerable status under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. To date, there is still limited study that had been done looking at the population of this species in Sabah. Therefore, we initiated our Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) project in Segaliud Lokan Forest Reserve in order to obtain the distribution of this species. Our researcher that is currently conducting the field work is  Ms. Kee Sze Lue. Two methods will be used in this project namely camera trap and night drive survey.
