PUBLIC TALK " HARMONIZING HUMAN AND WILDLIFE"

Harmonizing Human and Wildlife” talk was held on the 15th May 2017 at the Forestry Complex of Faculty of Science and Natural Resource in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). This talk was co-organized by Wildlife Sentinel and Forestry Complex of Faculty of Science and Natural Resources, UMS. The talk aims to promote awareness of avifauna conservation that harmonizes the relationship of avifauna with agricultural activities of which had been done in Taiwan. The participants of this event comprised of not only representatives from the industries such as Sabah Park, Acacia Forestry Company and Sabah Forest Industries but also includes lecturers and students of the university. The invited speakers for this event were Prof. Dr. Sun, Yuan-Hsun and Dr. Wu, Hsin-Ryu.  It was a wonderful session as the participants were able to gain knowledge through the sharing of Prof. Dr. Sun, Yuan-Hsun about his experience on Black-Kite Azuki Bean Cake and also the interesting sharing from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wu, Hsin-Ju about a case study on the hunting and status of large mammals in Southern Taiwan.

Wildlife Sentinels a Malaysian Non-Governmental Organization based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We were first established in 2014 where a group of like minded individuals gathered for the the purpose of doing wildlife conservation work.
